”Have and Have Nots’ actor, John Schneider is facing backlash online for likening singer Beyoncé’s exploration into country music to a dog-marking its territory during a recent interview with One American News Network.

Beyoncé’s recent release of two country tracks, “Texas Hold ‘Em” and “16 Carriages,” during the Super Bowl ignited discussions about the role of Black artists in country music.

During the interview Schneider, known for his role in “Dukes of Hazzard,” criticized Beyoncé suggesting she should leave the genre alone.

Despite primarily being known for his acting career, Schneider has a background in country music, having released successful albums in the 1980s.

While Beyoncé was the focus of Schneider’s comments, he expresseed broader concerns about the trend of pop stars entering country music.

He remarked that left-wing entertainers are trying to make their mark, comparing it to dogs marking trees in a park.

Beyoncé’s ‘Texas Hold em’ is also expected make a Top 5 debut on the Billboard 100 charts.
