Nollywood actor Kunle Remi, recently addressed his absence from the nomination list for the 9th Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards, AMVCA 2023.

The nominees for the prestigious awards were unveiled on Sunday 16th April, 2023. However, the actor’s name was conspicuously missing from the list of nominations, despite his outstanding portrayal of the character ‘Saro’ in the movie ‘Anikulapo,’ which garnered a remarkable 16 nominations.

The actor took to Instagram on to express his appreciation for the unwavering support from his fans and fellow colleagues, and extended his congratulations to his peers who were nominated for this year’s AMVCA Awards.

He also light-heartedly joked about winning his category in May,2022.

Despite the omission, Remi displayed humor in his post as he wrote:

“I have been seeing all the tags after the AMVCA nomination announcement. It would be nonchalant not to appreciate the love, calls and messages. Thank you kindred,”

“First of, congratulations to all my friends and colleagues, this year won’t be great without y’all’s amazing work and effort. God save una, cos if I Dey the categories I for win (Joke) before una say otherwise. Let the best man win.”

He has made appearances in various movies such as Falling, Family Forever, Tinsel, and Anikulapo, Prophetess, among other,showcasing his wide-ranging skills and versatility as a performer.

His was the winner of the 7th edition of Gulder’s Ultimate Search in 2010 which shot him to limelight.
