Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo and other stars staged a peaceful protest to the Lagos State House of Assembly, seeking justice over the death of 27-year-old musician, Ireoluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad.

 Mohbad, a former signee of Marlian Records, died on the 12th September 2023, with many people calling for thorough investigation and inquest into his untimely death.

 The protesters carried different placards with the inscriptions of justice for the late singer.

Ojo, who addressed the members who received them, said it was no longer news that Nigerians were agitating for justice over the death the popular singer, who died under unclear circumstances.

Adding that though the Commissioner of Police in Lagos State has started an investigation over Mohbad’s mysterious death, they seek justice for him.

Addressing the protesters, the Deputy Majority Leader, Adedamola Kasunmu, thanked them for the peaceful manner in which they had conducted themselves to the House of Assembly.

Kasunmu promised them that their plea would be presented before the House, although Mohbad’s issue has already been discussed by the House members. He further assured them that the law will take its course after investigations have been concluded by the police.

Other members of the House, Sylvester Ogunkelu, Ajani Owolabi and Rasheed Shabi, were also present to receive the protesters.
