The family of Nollywood actress, Ada Ameh, has released the funeral arrangements of the late actress who passed away on 17 July 2022, in Warri, Delta State.

According to the funeral arrangements made by the family, there will a novelty match at the Nathaniel Idowo pitch, Oregie, Lagos state, followed by a candlelight service in Ada’s honour, at the Teslim Balogun Stadium – same day – on Friday, 19 August, 2022.

In Benue state, another candlelight service will take place at Saint Mary’s primary school, Ogobia, on Thursday, 25 August,2022.

The remains of the movie star will be interred at her family’s compound on Friday, 26 August 2022, in Ogobia, Otukpo L.G.A of Benue State.

Cause of Death

According to several reports, the actress was said to have been a guest of an oil company’s top shot and his family when she suddenly slumped during a gathering.

She was reportedly rushed to the NNPC hospital in Warri, Delta State, where she was confirmed dead. Cause of death remains unknown.

It would be recalled that a few weeks before her untimely death at age 48, the actress revealed that she was going through some mental health issues, particularly depression.

The movie star lost her only child Aladi Godgift back in 2020 after a surgery didn’t go as planned in Abuja.

Ameh is one of the most popular actors in Nollywood with a career spanning over two decades. She first rose to stardom when she landed her first acting gig as ‘Anita’ in the movie “Domitila,” back in 1996.

Until her death, Ameh played the character of the warm matriarch, ‘Emu’, in the hit TV drama series ‘The Johnsons’..
