The Adamawa state governor, Ahmadu Fintiri, has declared a 24-hour curfew across all the 21 Local Government areas of the state, with effect from Sunday, 30th July, 2023.
In a statement which he issued via his verified Twitter handle, Fintiri said the 24-hour curfew is due to escalating violence by hoodlums attacking people and businesses.
The governor added that only persons on essential duties with valid IDs will be allowed movement.
Fintiri urged residents of the state to comply with the 24-hour curfew directive.
There have been reports of escalating attacks by hoodlums, breaking into the government-owned warehouse at Kwana-way, and the Central stores located at Barkin Kogi and carting away foodstuffs and other valuables.
