Anita Okoye has petitioned for divorce from husband, Paul Okoye aka RudeBoy of Nigerian Pop group, Psquare, on the grounds of infidelity with their domestic staff, amongst other things.
The news circulated social media with receipts in the form of phone chats which trended on Friday, 1st July, 2022, as well as the official court petition from Anita Okoye to Paul Nonso Okoye, submitted on her behalf by her Lawyers.
In August of 2021, the news of their alleged divorce made headlines after it was reported that Anita had relocated with their three children to the United States of America and was demanding $15,000 as monthly child support. Days after, Rudeboy went to the states and videos of him looking happy with his family put the talks to rest and Anita’s petition to death.
In the recent petition, submitted on Anita’s behalf by her legal council, it is mentioned that she and her sister were thrown out of the house by Paul Okoye in 2020 – after they’d discovered that he had an “illicit affair” with the maid, Florence. It also mentioned that he travelled a lot on tour and “does not have time for family life”. Most damning among the items that were leaked were the screenshots of the musician’s chats with other women including one where the lady (unknown) mentions that he forgot his wristwatch to which his reply insinuates it has happened before.

Similarly, music producer and singer, JJC Skillz, took to social media to announce his separation from wife of six years, Funke Akindele-Bello. Just like the Okoyes, Funke is yet to react to the news which broke on June 30th, 2022.
