Carlo Ancelotti, an Italian, who is the current Real Madrid Manager, has been appointed as Brazil’s coach for the Copa America coming up in the United States of America next summer.

Brazilian Football Confederation president, Ednaldo Rodrigues, revealed this while appointing an interim coach for the next 12 months in Fluminense boss, Fernando Diniz, on Tuesday, 4th July, 2023.

According to the president, Diniz’ game plan is almost like that of the coach Ancelotti that will soon take over at Copa America in 2024. He further said, Diniz shouldn’t be called an interim coach of the national team, but he will later make the transition in Brazil for Ancelotti.

However, no terms have been announced for Ancelotti’s takeover, nor has anything been said by the Spanish team. Ancelotti has one more season on his contract with Real Madrid, and Copa America starts on June 20, 2024, in the USA.

The Italian has never coached at the international level, but he is one of the most decorated coaches in the modern-day game, having won four Champions Leagues and league titles in each of Europe’s top five divisions at least once.

Meanwhile, Diniz will oversee Brazil’s 2026 World Cup qualifiers, and the first match in her World Cup qualifiers will be on 7th September 2023 against Bolivia, while the defending champion Argentina comes up on November all at her home soil.
