Nigerian superstar, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has revealed he was in prison in the United Kingdom before returning to Nigeria to pursue a music career.
The Grammy Award winner revealed this in Tweets on his Twitter handle, where he also stated that he didn’t expect that he would live this long.
Burna boy added that if people knew what he did to survive in the past, they would be happy for him.
The Grammy Award winner has since deleted the tweets.
Burna Boy won Best Global Music Album in the 2021 Grammy Award. He released his sixth studio album, Love, Damini, on 8th July 2022. Two singles preceded the album: “Kilometre” was released as an independent single on 29th April 2021, and “Last Last” was released on 13th May 2022.
