They will therefore be charged with the offences of involuntary manslaughter and reckless and negligent acts contrary to Sections 224 & 251 of the Criminal Law, Ch C17, Vol.3, Laws of Lagos State, 2015.

12-year-old, Whitney Adeniran, tragically died on February 9, 2023, during a sporting outing at the Agege Stadium, in Lagos State.

Late Whitney Adeniran and family

Whitney’s father, Michael Adeniran, had claimed that his daughter died from naked wire from one cotton candy vendor machine after she touched it and she was electrocuted immediately she leaned on it, but the school claimed Whitney died in public view and not under any hidden circumstances.
