The Edo State Police Command has confirmed the death of the woman in the popular ‘Mummy Calm Down’ viral video and arrested the husband for further investigation on Thursday, 9th Novermber 2023.
The deceased who was purportedly found hanging in their apartment, has been identified as Toluige Olokoobi Babalola, a mother of three.
According to the Edo State Command spokesperson, Chidi Nwabuzor, the husband discovered the woman’s lifeless body, sought assistance from neighbors to transport her to the hospital, where she was confirmed dead. Afterward, he proceeded to the mortuary to deposit the body.
The man is still with the police and would soon be transferred to the command homicide section of the state CID for further investigation.

He subsequently reported the matter to the police, however, the DPO of the station, queried him for not reporting to the police which is constitutionally empowered to carry out investigation, before taking the deceased to the hospital and mortuary.
