Twitter CEO, Elon Musk has given a deadline of Thursday, 20th April, 2023, as the final date for removal of ‘Blue Checks’ verification.
He instructed his employees to introduce a paid Twitter verification or face dismissal as penalty in case of failure to do so.
Twitter is currently planning to charge $19.99 for the new Twitter ‘Blue Check’ subscription where existing verified users would have 90 days to subscribe or lose their blue checkmark.
Earlier, on Tuesday, 11th April, 2023, Elon Musk had announced that the legacy blue checkmarks would be removed from Twitter accounts.
Prior to his acquiring the company, Elon Musk made his stance on revamping the verification process.
