Talented Nigerian female footballer Zulfah Abdulazeez has met with Brazilian football star, Neymar da Silva Santos Júnior, known as Neymar in Qatar.

The footballer has shared her joyous and inspiring moments with Neymar on her Instagram page in a video.

Zulfah was opportuned to met Neymar through a contest which footballers were requested to post their clips on Instagram. Neymar, the Brazilian superstar chose her to participate in the Team Global tournament in Qatar because he was amazed at the incredible skills of the hijab-wearing Nigerian player.

A total of seven players were selected for the five-aside football tournament and the Brazilian ordered the organizers to arrange the traveling process of the Nigerian player alongside 6 others for the five-aside tournament in Qatar.

Zulfah played alongside the Paris Saint-Germain star at the Red Bull Neymar Jr.’s 5-a-side exhibition recently.

Zulfah has a humble beginning as she started living with her grandmother who raised her from a very tender age.

My paternal grandmother took care of me since I was one year and the half, till she died in 2017. Life has been difficult for me since then. I’ve been living alone since she died.”

In her free time, if Zulfah wasn’t playing for Oasis Football Club in Lagos, the Kwara born player sold bitter kola, kola nut, alligator pepper, and sweets on the street in Ojota, Lagos.

She is said to be one of the best players in her squad, she is endowed with so much football skills and had always shared clips of her activities on social media, particularly on Instagram, which has helped her to be seen by the Brazilian super footballer.

Zulfah wears her hijab even while playing football on the field though being teased to remove it, this has not deterred her from wearing it because of her religious beliefs. She also disclosed that she has won many cups, adding that her recent win was her club winning the Eko Women Football tournament.

The Kwara born female Footballer says she gets her inspiration from Rasheedat Ajibade of Atletico Madrid and would love to be successful like Asisat Oshoala of FC Barcelona, who she admires as her mentors.
