The Federal Government, has directed security agencies to shutdown Federal Secretariat Complexes Phases l, Il, Ill and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, from Friday, 26th May, 2023, at 2pm, to Monday, 29th May, 2023, as part of security measures taken in preparation for the inauguration/ swearing-in ceremony of President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
This is contained in a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary, Service Welfare Office, office of the Head of Service of the Federation, Dr. Ngozi Onwudiwe, dated 19th May, 2023, and addressed to all the Ministries and Agencies of Government.
This is to allow for a hitch-free inauguration/ swearing-in of the President-elect, at Eagle Square on Monday, 29th May, 2023.
Therefore, workers in the Federal Secretariat, have been advised to keep off the Federal Secretariat within the stated time and dates.
