Nigerian Flying Eagles midfielder, Samson Lawal, has signed a move from newly-promoted Nigeria Premier Football League club, Pro Success FC, a club affiliated to Katsina United, to Livingston FC as confirmed on the Livingston website.

The 19-year-old midfielder, who will wear the number 40 shirt, has signed a three-year contract on Friday, 11th August, 2023.

According to report, Lawal has played a number of positions in his short career – 7, 11, 8 & 10 – and most recently 6.

Lawal shone for the Flying Eagles at the U-20 AFCON tournament and the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Argentina, scoring in the Flying Eagles’ group stage win over Italy.

The midfielder, becomes the latest player of the 2023 Flying Eagles to move to Europe after Jude Sunday, Rilwanu Haliru Sarki, Salim Fago Lawal, Kingsley Aniagboso and Solomon Agbalaka.

He will play alongside experienced Nigerian defender Ayo Obileye.

Also, Lawal joins Cyriel Dessers and Leon Balogun in moving to Scotland in this transfer window.
