Chief Executive Officer and the founder of globally acclaimed film ceremony, Africa Movies Academy Awards, AMAA, Peace Anyiam-Osigwe, has passed on, at the St Nicholas Hospital, Lagos, on Monday, 9th January, 2023, after a brief illness.

Obi Emelonye, her colleague in the movie industry, shared a short tribute to her, confirming her death on his Instagram page.
He wrote;
“Thank you and good night dada Peace”.

The Nigerian filmmaker and entertainment executive, who has been referred to as “The Queen of Nollywood films“, was also the President of the Association of Movie Producers, AMP.
