The management of Radio Nigeria Abuja Operations and the Directorate of Administration celebrates two members of administration staff, Mrs Asari Okon and Mallam Musa Wushishi at the atrainment of 35 years of meritorious service in grand style on the 15th of September, 2023, at Studio 5 conference hall, Radio House, Garki, Abuja.
The event had in attendance, the Director Abuja Operations, Alhaja Sherifat Ahmed, former Zonal Director, Ibadan Zonal Station, Alhaji Mohammed Bello, the Director of Programmes, Radio Nigeria Head Quarters, Mrs Msurshima Kaghir, The Deputy Director Admin, Mrs. Helen Obadiah, the Deputy Director of Finance, Mr. Abdulmumuni Usman, the General Manager, Kapital FM, Mrs Bukky Towuru and members of staff who came to bid the celebrants farewell.
The Zonal Director, Abuja Operations, Alhaja Sherifat Ahmed in her welcome speech, commended the retirees for their selfless dedication to their duties while in service. She thanked them for their outstanding records and in addition said that management has ensured that their reparation is paid already.
Alhaja Sherifat said, the retirees are celebrated because they deserve it. She also stressed that all retirees who cut across any level will be celebrated in retirement. She seized the opportunity to appeal to pension firms to effect prompt payment of retirees funds to enable them make meaningful use of their pension.
The former Zonal Director, Ibadan Zonal Station, Alhaji Mohammed Bello, expressed his joy for being a part of the event, which enabled him celebrate the two retirees who he has worked closely without any form of regrets. Alhaji Mohammed Bello reflected on their various sacrifices to the corporation at a time the corporation was at a starting stage and had a few members of staff who doubled their duties to make sure the work was achieved.
The Director of Programmes, Radio Nigeria, Head Quarters, Mrs Msurshima Kighir, in her remark, congratulated the retirees for a successful retirement, while recounting the memorable working relationships she had with them. Mrs Kighir wished them the best in there future endeavors.
In response, one of the retirees , Mrs Asari Okon thanked the members of Management of Abuja Operations for the honor accorded to her colleague and herself and prayed that God will bless everyone. She also prayed for a smooth retirement for every staff as and at when due.
The celebrants were both presented with a special gift on behalf of the administration department and management, by the Director, Abuja Operations, Alhaja Sherifat the Director of Programs, Radio Nigeria HQ, Mrs. Msurshima Kighir respectively.
Other Management staff present at the occasion, also wished them well as they start a new life after retirement.
