The management of the Federal Radio Corporation, FRCN, on Thursday, 16th November 2023, paid a condolence visit and presented a posthumous award to the family of the late Dr Umar Sanda, for his unwavering support to one of FRCN’s FM stations, Bida FM.
The delegation was led by the Director Abuja Operations, Alhaja Sherifat Ahmed, who was representing the Director General of Federal Radio Corporation, Dr Mohammed Bulama.
At Dr. Sanda’s residence in Bida, Niger State, Nigeria the Zonal Director acknowledged his instrumental role in ensuring the Bida station had a consistent power supply at minimal cost, thereby saving the station and the corporation, millions of Naira.
She also highlighted how Alhaji Sanda’s service significantly contributed to the station’s improved broadcast quality and ability to air for 24 hours.
The Director offered prayers for the repose of Dr. Sanda’s soul.
At the high point of the visit, the delegation presented the posthumous appreciation award frame to honor Dr Sanda’s immense contributions to the seamless operations of Power FM, Bida.
In response, a family representative, Alhaji Muhammad Yusuf, expressed gratitude to the corporation for the visit and extended well wishes to the corporation.
They also requested that the corporation be benevolent enough to offer any of the qualified children if Late Dr. Sanda employment.
