He insisted that Bello is not evading anyone as an existing court injunction protects his fundamental rights.

Governor Ododo did not assist in Bello’s departure from his residence; the EFCC’s claims are misinformation aimed at furthering their objectives.

This denial comes after reports indicated that Usman Ododo, governor of Kogi, “rescued” Yahaya Bello, his predecessor, from the commission’s siege in Abuja on Wednesday.

He noted that Governor Ododo remains a law-abiding leader who respects the rule of law and the Constitution of Nigeria.

The ex, Governor of Kogi State is wanted by the EFCC for his alleged involvement in economic and financial crimes amounting to N80.2 Billion.
