The Federal Government of Nigeria has asserted that the nationwide power outage, which has affected most parts of the country of recent, has been resolved.
The Minister of Power, Abubakar Aliyu, revealed this to State House reporters following a virtual Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting presided over by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo earlier this week.
The minister said: ”The grid has now been recovered. The grid is up and running again, and we’re working to add more megawatts to it”.
He told reporters, “We’ve formed tiny groups to acquire extra megawatts on the grid.”
He further stated that the current issues in Nigeria’s energy supply are being handled with the gradual restoration of normal operations.
