Nollywood actor, of the iconic Aki and Pawpaw duo, Chinedu Ikedieze, has disclosed he had in the past considered suicide because he was bullied for his stunted growth.
He made this revelation during an interview with Chude Podcast hosted by Chude Jideonwo where he recalled his struggle with accepting his condition at age nine.
Ikedieze revealed that there was a point when the thought of jumping off the Third Mainland Bridge entered his mind, due to series of bullying by his peers and even adults, which sent him spiraling into sadness.
Ikedieze further explained that he was officially diagnosed by the family’s medical doctor at age nine after his parents observed his growth did not commiserate with his peers.k
The actor said that after hearing his diagnosis, he picked up a dictionary to find the meaning of the word ‘retardation’ and how to pronounce it after the doctor informed him and his mother that he had growth retardation.

Ikedieze however, expressed his gratitude to God for seeing him through the depressive episode.
