Veteran Nigerian Actor and writer, Richard Mofe-Damijo, popularly known as RMD, has stated that he does not like watching his movies, via a post he made on his social media handles, on Saturday, 23rd September, 2023.

RMD made the revelation in reaction to the feedback he got from fans who said they cried after watching his new movie the ‘Black Book’.
According to the actor, he was surprised by the emotional reactions to the movie and described the movie as a winner, based on the feedback he got from fans who had seen it.

Without premieres, I don’t like watching my films so I’ve still not seen them. But if the reactions are anything to go by, then I think we’ve a winner. My biggest surprise though is that people have been calling me to say they cried. Not once not twice and I’m wondering where and why? If you cried please gather here!
Richard Mofe-Damijo, RMD, is considered Nigeria’s ‘Prince of the Silver Screen’, for playing leading roles in block booster movies, for over a decade.
In 2005, RMD won the award for ‘Best Actor in a Leading Role’, at the maiden edition of the Africa Movie Academy Awards. On 5th January 2017, he hosted the 2016 GLO-CAF Awards alongside Nigerian journalist, Mimi.
On 8th December 2021, he won an award in Ghana, a ‘Black Star Honor’ at the ‘Rhymes on Da Runway’ in Gold Coast, Ghana.
