Nigerian comic Ayodeji Makun better known as AY has opened up on his efforts to end his long rivalry with fellow comedians, especially Bright Okpocha also known as Basketmouth in an interview with Teju Babyface.
The comedian, explained that he has given up on his efforts to reconciliation after several failed attempts.
According to him, he is fine with taking their decade long beef to his grave.
AY, revealed that he has faced alot of rejection and animosity in the industry, saying it was painful to wake up to find out that your friend have become your enemies.
He made an example of being accused of witchcraft by fellow comedian, Julius Agwu, whom he see as an elder brother.
Previously, AY had revealed that there was a beef between him and Basketmouth which stemmed from a ₦30,000 gig, and he also mentioned being turned away from Basketmouth’s wedding despite attending with his wife.
The actor explained that he had made numerous attempts to settle the beef with Basketmouth, as he is not a fan of animosity, but to no avail.
AY further disclosed that his senior colleagues in the industry advised him to stop.
Despite being told this, AY says he continued in his efforts to end the tension between them.
He narrated how in one of his attempt to settle the issue, he publicly hailed Basketmouth, during a show to reaffirm him of their friendship,

Revealing that the following morning, everywhere exploded again, with Basketmouth saying they are not friends.
AY said that was the straw that broke the camel’s back, and that was the point at which he decided to let it all go.
