Nollywood actress, Etinosa Idemudia, has revealed that she indulged in illicit substances as an escape from her ex-husband’s abuses.
Idemudia disclosed this in an interview with media personality, Chude Jideonwo.
According to Etinosa, she almost lost her life.
She said:
“I was green, I no know anything. I was a mumu. I was 22 when I got married.”
She revealed that the constant beating made her terrified of him, recalling that whenever her ex-husband was coming home, one would expect her to be happy, but it was the opposite.
Saying, she use to dope up and knock off with drugs so that no matter what he says, or does, will not affect her for peace to reign.
She narrated how her estranged husband once tortured her to confess if she was cheating on him.
Recounting how he tied her up and plunged her head into water in the night, threatening her to confess, telling her he was not her friend but her Lord.
Etinosa said she eventually left the marriage after her ceaseless praying and fasting didn’t change her husband.
