Nigerian on-air-personality and comedian, Chinedu Emmanuel, popularly known as Nedu, has disclosed that he lost a multi-million Naira endorsement deal as a result of people spreading the narrative that he hates women.
Nedu opened up about this on the latest episode of The Honest Bunch audiovisual podcast co-hosted by him.
“I almost signed an endorsement three weeks ago and I lost it. I’m not feeling bad. I didn’t feel bad for a second but I lost it.
“Why did I lose it? Because a lot of people were flying with the narrative, ‘Nedu hates women.’ And it’s a beverage brand. The brand said, ‘If this is what people are saying, it means it is not going to go well with our female audience.”, he said.
In the podcast the media personality called out those accusing him of hating women for having double standards.
He said the same people who accuse him of flirting, were the ones also spreading lies that he hates women.
Nedu has recently come under fire for dishing out intimate details about the source of wealth of some female celebrities in Nigeria in his podcast.
In one episode of his podcast’, he accused female Big brother Naija stars of having nothing to offer but their body parts.
