Nollywood actor, Deyemi Okanlawon, has stated that he does not think Nigerian actors are been paid enough in a recent episode of MTV Base Africa’s Lights, Camera, and Stardom programme posted on Youtube.

According to him, Nollywood actors are taken for granted and also not valued for what they are worth.
Okanlawon explained that Nollywood is the most striving movie industry on the African continent, as such one would expect their actors to be financially stable, but such is not the case
He said he felt that Nollywood actors are criminally underpaid and undervalued, and on the other hand, are not financially literate to use their talents and maximize them to protect themselves in the future.
Deyemi Okanlawon is best known for his roles in Omo Ghetto, The Saga, Blood Sisters, and King of Boys among others, and has won several awards.
