Nigerian rapper, Panshak Zamani, popularly known as ‘Ice Prince‘, has acknowledged that freedom is important, after being released from the Ikoyi prison, Lagos State.

Ice Prince on Friday, 2nd September, 2022, was detained in Ikoyi prison for allegedly threatening to assault a police officer.

He was detent over a week with the following assault charges leveled toward him.

Making a statement for the first times since his release, the rapper via his Twitter handle on Thursday, 15th September, 2022, emphasised the importance of freedom.

“Freedom is priceless”, he tweeted.

According to the spokesperson of Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, the rap star abducted and threatened to throw the officer into the river after he was stopped for driving without having a license.

The rapper was later charged and imprisoned at the Ikoyi Prison until his bail conditions are met.
