The Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company on Saturday, 8th July 2023, announced the withdrawal of a scholarship awarded to Ejikeme Mmesoma after an Investigative committee set up by the Anambra State Government indicted her for forging her 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME test scores.
The spokesperson of the Innoson, Cornel Osigwe, who disclosed this in a statement, said the company was deeply disappointed that Mmesoma manipulated her results given that it had awarded her the scholarship in recognition of her supposed stellar performance.
He said the manipulation of results by the candidate “stands in direct contravention of the values” of the company.
He noted that although, the withdrawal of the scholarship was regrettable and could cause dismay to those who stood by Miss Mmesoma including her school principal, It was imperative to maintain the integrity of the company’s scholarship program and its values.
In line with these principles and response to the confirmed findings, we have made the difficult decision to withdraw the scholarship awarded to Miss Joy Mmesoma Ejikeme

The spokesperson thanked JAMB, the members of the panel set up by Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State, and Nigerians for their support throughout the saga.
