The Uyo Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has secured the conviction of Ikemesit Edet, also known as Hustle Kingdom, HK, the proprietor of Uyo Cybercrime Training Centre.

This development was disclosed via a press release posted on the X account of the anti graft agency on Sunday , 21st April 2024.

On April 17, 2024, authorities sentenced Edet after he admitted guilt to charges including impersonation, love scam, hacking/editing social media accounts, and providing criminal tutoring.

The charges outlined his involvement in running a cybercrime academy and possessing proceeds of unlawful acts.

He pleaded guilty to both counts, leading to a five-year jail term for each, with an option of a fine.

The court also ordered the forfeiture of all seized exhibits to the Federal Government, including laptops, vehicles, and land.

Edet’s arrest followed a joint operation by EFCC investigators, leading to the apprehension of ten suspects at his training center.

Michael Melvin Onyekachi, alias ‘Raisa Pedroso,’ received a six-month prison sentence or a fine for possessing fraudulent documents.

He was charged under cybercrime laws for fraudulent representation on social media.
