The social media sensation, made popular for his single ‘Buga’ and the accompanying dance movement, was scheduled to perform at the Summer Amplified concert on 7th August, 2022, but reportedly declined on account of his clothes not being available.

The concert organizer, Str8tUp Vibes, took to Instagram to apologise for the disappointment fans and stakeholders experienced. In the statement, released on Monday morning, they promised to protect the concert goers.

“We are taking proper action in resolving this situation with rigor, and reassure the public as well as the fans who paid and attended, that we are doing everything we can to make sure that they are not affected by this.”

Daniel’s arrival at the Julius Nyerere International Airport (JNIA) was announced by the event coordinators ‘Str&up Vibes’ on their Instagram page a few hours before the event even kicked off.
