The governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Thursday, 22nd June, 2023, announced a personal donation of five(5) million Naira and another five(5) million from the state government to, Amina Yusuf, a law student of Lagos state university, LASU, for graduating with a perfect 5.0 Cumulative Grade Point Average, CGPA.

The governor announced the donation at the University’s 40th anniversary and 26th convocation ceremony of the Lagos State University on Thursday.

Sanwo-Olu also took to his twitter handle to congratulate the university and the student for her outstanding achievement.

“Congratulations to Aminat Yusuf Imoitsemeh for graduating with a perfect CGPA of 5.0 in Law. I’m pleased to announce a personal donation of N5m and an additional N5m from the State Government to recognize her outstanding achievement. Well done Aminat!”, he wrote.
Aminat who emerged as the best overall graduating student for the 2021/ 2022 Academic session was also celebrated by her school on Twitter.

Over all, 10, 183 students graduated from the 2020/2021 and 2021/20222 academic sessions with 282 bagging 1st class honors.
