The Chief Justice of Nigeria, Olukayode Ariwoola, has administered the oath of office on Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kashim Shettima, making them the 5th President and Vice President of Nigeria, at an inauguration ceremony, at the Eagles Square in Abuja, on Monday, 29th May, 2023.


Government officials, Titleholders, Dignitaries, and esteemed guests from across the nation graced this historic moment.










The national and defense flags have been lowered, symbolizing the conclusion of the previous administration and are ready to be handed over to former President Muhamadu Buhari.


Chief of Defence Staff, LEO Irabor, presented the flags to Buhari.
In a significant gesture, new flags, representing the nation and defense, have been raised, marking the beginning of a new administration.
Ex-President Buhari waved at guests as he depart from the inauguration venue to the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, as he embarks on his journey to Daura, Katsina State.
The ceremony is a celebration of democracy and the peaceful transition of power.
