The Ministr of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris made his first familiarisation visit to the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria on Wednesday, 11th October 2023, in which he commended the management of FRCN for taking the initiative to set up the Online Radio Channel, Click Naija, which he said is relevant to the time.
The Minister was led by the Director General of the corporation, Dr Mansur Liman, alongside the Director Abuja Operations, Alhaja Sherifat Ahmed and other Directors and top management members of FRCN.
The Minister also paid a visit to Click Naija the first and only online radio of Radio Nigeria and was received by the Zonal Director of Abuja Operations, Alhaja Sherifat Ahmed and the General Manager, of Click Naija, Mrs Ehizogie Ohiani.
The GM spoke about some ideas behind the creation of the station studios and how programs are transmitted. She explained to the Minister some of the challenges faced in the studio, such as an unstable network, which is the Life Wire for any online program.
Mrs Ohiani also mentioned that the station lacks some top of the art equipment to enable the station to function appropriately.
The Minister, Alhaji Idris who was impressed with the achievements of Click Naija, appreciated the Director General, Dr Liman, Zonal Director, Alhaja Sherifat Ahmed, General Manager, Mrs Ohiani and the Staff of Click Naija for their innovative ideas and encouraged them to do more.
However, the Minister reassured the Corporation of his support for the station to excel.
