Controversial musician Naira Marley and socialite Sam Larry have been released from police custody on Friday, 17th November 2023.
The Lagos state Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed their release after they fulfilled the bail conditions set by a Lagos State Magistrates’ Court earlier in the week.
On November 6, 2023, the court granted both individuals bail amounting to N20m, requiring three responsible sureties.
One of the conditions was to surrender their passports and regularly appear at the State Criminal Investigation Department in Panti, Yaba, Lagos.
Their arrest was part of an investigation into the death of singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, known as Mohbad, following the emergence of online videos showing assault against him.
Mohbad passed away in controversial circumstances on September 12, 2023.
