The Force Public Relations Officer, FPRO, SP Benjamin Hundeyin has announced that it will investigate the circumstances that led to the death of the late rapper and singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.

This followed the emergence of a document, wherein the late singer reported a case of alleged threat to life, malicious damage, assault, and oppression, among others, against a music promoter, Samson Balogun, also known as Sam Larry and others, in a petition to the Force Criminal Investigation Department Annex, Alagbon, Lagos State.

The Police released the statement on SP Benjamin Hundeyin’s Twitter page, on Thursday, 14th September 2023,

Our heartfelt condolences go out to the family, friends, and fans of the late Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, known as Mohbad, who recently passed away. We understand the concerns regarding his untimely demise.

The Nigeria Police, however, assures all concerned that it is committed to carrying out a comprehensive investigation into this issue as the Lagos State Commissioner of Police has been tasked to unravel the circumstances surrounding that led to MohBad’s death.

The public should be rest assured, that updates will be provided as investigations unfold.

Singer, Mohbad died on Tuesday, 12th September 2023, after he was reportedly said to passed away while being treated for an infection.
