John Okafor, a Nollywood actor and veteran, popularly known as Mr Ibu‘s family said the actor has successfully survived five Surgeries and is seeking support for his further treatment overseas.
The news of his state of health was made to the public through his verified official Instagram account on the 30th of October 2023.
“So far Daddy has gone through 5 successful surgeries, and he is still recovering in the ICU. Daddy is immensely grateful and we are thankful to the general public during this phase of our lives. We appreciate all the donations made to this account, and as soon as Daddy is better he will personally acknowledge all donations respectively!
In the official statement posted on his verified Instagram page, the family further revealed their intention to have him moved abroad for higher medical care immediately after his present condition improves.
The news gathered from his family affirmed that Mr Ibu is currently recovering at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the medical centre where he is receiving treatment.
The family also stated that Mr. Ibu would personally recognize the support and donations when he fully recovers.
