Nigerian singer and music producer, Nonso Amadi, has come out to talk about his kind of music, he said he does not make the same kind of music as his colleagues, Wizkid and Burna Boy, that his music is ‘Unique’.
Amadi made this assertion during the latest episode of the Afrobeats Podcast hosted by Shopsydoo.
According to the singer, although he is motivated by Burna Boy, Wizkid, and other Nigerian artist, none can compare to his style of music
“I am not making the same music as Burna Boy, Wizkid and others. I’m making music that I love. I’m inspired and influenced by them but there is a Nonso Amadi that anybody can”.
Amadi added that his music reflects him and he prefers not to walk in anyone’s shadow, therefore he will not be a copy of another top music artist.
He concluded by saying young artists should avoid being copycats, stressing the need for them to stand out.
