The governorship election petition tribunal in Lafia, Nasarawa state, has sacked Gov. Abdullahi Sule of APC and declared David Ombugadu, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, as the winner of the election.
Chairman of the tribunal, Justice Ezekiel Ajayi, made the declaration while delivering the judgement virtually.
Two of the Justices agreed that the election was won by the PDP while one judge dissented.
Ajayi maintained that the petitioner was able to prove his case beyond reasonable doubt.
The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in March 2023, in Lafia, declared Gov. Abdullahi Sule the winner of the Governorship election in Nasarawa State.
