The new Director General and Chief Executive Officer, Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, FRCN, Dr Muhammed Bulama, assumed office and made his first familiarisation tour of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria on Thursday, 2nd November 2023.
Dr. Bulama was received by the former Director General of the corporation Dr. Mansur Liman, the management team, and top officials of the organisation.
Amongst other departments visited, the new DG paid a visit to Click Naija, the first and only online radio of Radio Nigeria, and was received by the General Manager, Mrs. Ehizogie Ohiani.
The GM spoke about some ideas behind the creation of the station studios and how programs are transmitted. She explained to him, some of the challenges faced in the studio, such as unstable network, which is the ‘Life Wire’ for any online program.
Mrs Ohiani, also mentioned that the station lacked state-of-the-art equipment to enable it to function and carry out its job.
The DG, Dr. Bulama, was impressed with the achievements of Click Naija, appreciated the concept as it’s also been his dream, and the idea of replicating the same concept in other FRCN stations across the country.
He also appreciated the General Manager and the staff of Click Naija for their innovative ideas, despite the limited resources at their disposal and encouraged them to do more.
However, the DG reassured the Corporation of his unflinching support for the station to excel.
