The woman who killed by an Abuja-bound train which took off from Rigasa, Kaduna state on Thursday 15th December 2022, has been identified as Selimota Idowu Suleiman, a journalist working at the Nigerian Television Authority, NTA 5 Abuja.
According to a statement released by NTA, Selimota Idowu Suleiman was on her way to the work at the time her untimely death occurred.
According to reports, her car got stuck while driving across the rail track. She then tried to reverse and get off the track to no avail and had attempted disembarking from the car by which time it was too late.
In a viral video, eyewitnesses were seen trying to get her attention before her attempt to escape from the car, shortly before the collision.
The accident happened at about 9:56 am on Thursday, while the train conveying passengers from Rigasa ran into the car on the rail tracks.
