Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, has taken ex-beauty queen, Tobi Phillips, as his third wife. The private ceremony took place at his Palace on Sunday, 9th October 2022. The traditional wedding ceremony had close family members in attendance.

This is coming just weeks after his marriage to oil mogul, Mariam Ajibola Anako. The monarch’s new bride is seen in pictures from the wedding, in traditional white attire as she receives blessings from her family.

Though the Ooni wasn’t in sight, his guards, chief and royal staff were reportedly present.

Oba Ogunwusi had on September, 6th 2022, welcomed into the palace, a new wife, Mariam Anako, with whom the royal father attended the last Olojo Festival.
Shortly after Mariam was unveiled as Ooni’s new wife, some other women had also been linked to the royal father as awaiting queens and invites had surfaced on the internet of an upcoming wedding ceremony between Ashley Adegoke and the monarch, coming up on Friday, October, 14th 2022 in Ile-Ife, Osun State and another of Oba Ogunwusi, getting married to an ex-beauty queen, Tobi Phillips.

There hasn’t been any official comments or information from the Oba’s Spokesperson, regarding upcoming weddings of Oba Ogunwusi, but when contacted for confirmation of the two upcoming wedding ceremonies that Ooni had been linked to, moses Olafare, Spokesperson to the monarch simply said, “I am not unaware of information about weddings, but I don’t have formal clearance to comment yet. I am aware of certain activities going on, but I have not been officially cleared to comment. I also see those things on the social media. At the appropriate time, we will comment, especially if need arises for that.”

The Ooni’s third wife is a graduate of marine science from the University of Lagos. She is an ex-beauty queen. She was world miss Nigeria University 2012, and she represented Nigeria in Korea with 44 other beautiful and outstanding undergraduates all over the world.
