Winner of the BBNaija Season 7 reality show, Ijeoma Otabor, popularly known as Phyna, has shared more details concerning her daughter.
Phyna, while speaking during an interview she granted on the E-Splash podcast, disclosed that she has not seen her child since she left the the Big brother house.
She went on to state that the girl in question is not her biological daughter, but her elder cousin’s child whose wife died while she was pregnant and an urgent cesarean operation had to be carried out to save the child’s life.
The reality TV star added that she has been the one taking care of the child since then, which made many assume she was the biological mother of the girl.
She indicated that she adopted the child to raise her and she sees the girl as her own daughter.
“My baby girl? Yeah, she is fine, I have not seen her yet, she is with my aunt. It’s not like she is my child o. She is my elder cousin’s child, his wife died before giving birth. Since then I have been taking care of her, a lot of people think she is my child and yes she is. I am planning on bringing her with me when I am less busy”, she said.
There had been speculations and questions about Phyna having a baby outside wedlock, after photos of her and the alleged child were posted on social media.
Phyna previously acknowledged having a daughter, to whom she apologized to before entering the Big Brother Naija house.
Phyna had beaten 28 housemates to emerge winner of the BBNaija ‘Level Up’ season, walking home with the grand prizes of 100 million,of which 50 million in cash and 50 million as prizes from sponsors and a car.
