President Muhammadu Buhari, has approved the appointment of Dr Oluwatoyin Madein, as the substantive Accountant-General of the Federation.
This is made known a statement, dated 19th May, 2023, signed by the Director, Communications, Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Mohammed Abdullahi Ahmed.
The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Dr Folasade Yemi-Esan, stated that the appointment takes effect from Thursday, 18th, May, 2023.
Her appointment followed the successful conduct of a selection process to fill the existing vacancy.
Madein, until her appointment, was the Director of Finance and Accounts in the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation.
She is to take over from Sylva Okolieboh, who had been in acting capacity as the AGF.
Madein, was born on 7th March, 1965, in Iperu Remo, Ikenne Local Government Area of Ogun State.
