The remains of Ex-Big Brother Naija season 3 reality star, Rico Swavey, has been laid to rest in Lagos, on Thursday, 20th October, 2022, after a brief ceremony attended by his family and close friends.

The interment started with a funeral service at the Methodist Church of the Trinity, Tinubu Square, in Lagos Island, after which the funeral entourage proceeded to the Ebony Vaults in Ikoyi, Lagos State.

Rico’s colleagues, friends, family and relatives could not hold back tears as his body which was laid in a white casket was lowered to the ground, after prayers were offered for the repose of his soul.

Born Patrick Adebowale Adebowale Fakoya, Swavey was involved in a car crash on the 11th October, 2022, and was placed on life support. He died two days after the accident on October 13, 2022.

The burial ceremony was attended by Ex-Big Brother Naija reality stars like Alex Unusual, Uriel Oputa, Efe Money, Ifu Ennada and K Brule, BamBam, Dorothy and the BBNaija show host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, who came to pay their last respect.

His funeral programme started with a tribute nite in his honour, held on Wednesday 19th October 2022, at Retro Citi in Victoria Island Lagos and was attended by his ex- fellow housemates and other celebrities.

A night of tribute for the late Rico Swavey

Rico Swavey was a participant in the 2018 edition of BBNaija season 3 titled ‘Double Wahala’.

He died at age 30 and is survived by his parents, and seven siblings.
