Nigerian singer and musician, Seun Kuti, has taken to his Instagram page to mark his 40th birthday on Wednesday, 11th January, 2023, with pictures specially taken to reflect his feelings as a new 40-year-old.
In the mood of celebrating his new age, the musician teamed up with celebrity photographer, Kelechi Amadi, for some iconic pictures.
The Grammy-nominated musician, in a short note, said the goal is to “Become an African elder’’.
“Happy birthday to meeeeeeeeee!!!! The goal is to become an African Elder; one that has aged with grace and dignity that the young ones can emulate. I am happy to make it to 40!! The journey continues“.
Seun is the youngest son of the famous Afrobeat pioneer, Fela Kuti and now leads his father’s former band ‘Egypt 80’.
