The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, has cautioned presidential candidates who use the tactics of trashing the achievements of the Buhari-led administration to secure the 2023 presidential ticket.
Mohammed disclosed this on Monday, 5th December, 2022, at a briefing to present the scorecard of the regime on water resources.

He said regardless of insinuations and misinformation aimed at downplaying the achievements of the federal government, records and evidence of credible performances of President Muhammadu Buhari’s led administrations are available.
The Minister specifically accused the former vice president and the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar, as fond of doing so.

Lai Mohammed cited instances where the former Vice president was found guilty of downplaying the achievements of this administration.
“The worst offender in this regard has been the presidential candidate of the PDP, former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar.
“During his recent campaign in Akure, the former VP was quoted as saying the APC had not done anything for Nigeria in eight years.
The minister expressed his dismay at such and was surprised that the accusations were coming from Atiku Abubakar, who he said has fully relocated to Dubai and hence lost touch with Nigeria.
