Nigerian goalkeeper, Maduka Okoye, earned the Player of the Month title for February from his Italian Serie A team, Udinese on Saturday 16th February 2024.

The club shared a photo of Okoye holding his plaque on their official social media account.

Throughout the month, the 24-year-old goalkeeper played in four Serie A matches and achieved clean sheets against Juventus and Monza.

In total, he has participated in 12 Serie A matches for Udinese this season.

One standout moment was his outstanding performance in the 1-0 victory over Juventus, where he made a series of crucial saves.

Since being part of the Super Eagles side that got knocked out in the second round of the 2021 AFCON held in Cameroon, Okoye has not featured for the national team, where he encountered cyberbullying.
