Criminals have kidnapped three students from the University of Calabar, UNICAL, in Calabar, the capital of Cross River State.

The students were allegedly kidnapped from their hostels on Thursday night, 28th March, 2024.

While the police remained silent about the actual location of the abduction, they did confirmed the unfortunate incident.

According to a school source, the three students are Ojang Precious Ebejin, a 200-level student in the Department of Medicine and Surgery, Ugwu Chukwuemeka, a 300-level student in the Department of Genetics and Biotechnology, and Damilola Dickson, a final-year student in the same department.

SP Irene Ugbe, the state’s police spokesperson, told Channels Television over the phone that the command, along with other security agencies, are doing everything possible to ensure the three students’ safe release.
