Nigerian singer, Eniola Akinbo, also known as Niyola, had revealed that she started music by accident. It was an escape route from the pain of losing the three most important persons in her life. Her mum, dad, and a very close friend.
She disclosed this recently in a chat with media personality, Chude Jideonwo.

She further stated that leaving Banky W’s record label, EME wasn’t a happy ending, but an opportunity to start afresh.
Niyola also said being a celebrity,and entertainer was never part of my future plans.
Her professional music career began in 2000 when she emerged runner up at the Amen Starlet Competition.
In 2014, Niyola was awarded ‘Female Artist of the Year’, by the Nigerian Entertainment Awards.
