The United Nations, UN has raised alarm over an impending global water crisis, predicted to hit humanity due to overconsumption of water and climate change.

A UN report published by its lead author, Mr Richard Connor, said water scarcity is becoming endemic because of overconsumption and pollution, and predicted that global warming will increase seasonal water shortages in both areas with abundant water and those already strained.

Mr Richard Connor said uncertainties are increasing when it comes to global water supply and called on stakeholders to urgently address the situation before it spirals into a global crisis.
