The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has postponed Saturday, 18th March, 2023, governorship and state assembly elections in 10 polling units in the Victoria Garden City, VGC, around the Lekki area of Lagos state.
Segun Agbaje, the Resident Electoral Commissioner, made the announcement when he addressed reporters at VGC saying residents insisted on voting at the VGC Park which had eight polling units, as against the gate set up by Inec officials.
He said after consultation with the headquarters, voting in the area was moved to Sunday, 19th March, 2023, as there are over five thousand eligible voters in the area and non would be disenfranchised.
